What To Bring

Preparing for your adventure at Tidal River Christian Camp is an exciting part of your camp experience. To ensure you have everything you need for a memorable and comfortable stay, here's a detailed checklist:

Your Bible is more than just a book; it's your spiritual compass during your time at TRCC. Whether it's for personal reflection, group discussions, or chapel services, having your Bible by your side will enhance your camp journey.

A good night's sleep is essential for an active camp day. Bring a cozy sleeping bag or blankets and sheets to ensure you stay warm and comfortable throughout the night. Cabins are NOT climate controlled but there are a couple fans in each cabin.

Rest is crucial after a day full of exciting activities. Bring your own pillow for a comfortable night's sleep in the cabins.

Camp is all about adventures, and you'll need comfortable sneakers to explore the great outdoors, participate in games, and take on hikes. Make sure your sneakers are sturdy and suitable for various terrains.

When it's time to cool off in the pool, walk to the showers, or enjoy water-based activities, flip flops or water shoes are a must. They protect your feet and provide comfort in wet environments while keeping your sneakers dry!

Pack weather-appropriate clothing for each day, considering the activities on the schedule. Camp-friendly attire that allows you to move comfortably is ideal. You'll need clothes for Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday; it is recommended that you bring a few extra sets of clothes for emergencies too!

IMPORTANT: Modest dress is REQUIRED at ALL TIMES. If we feel you are dressed inappropriately we will ask you to change.

Ladies: no low cut tops, tank tops or short shorts/skirts.

Gentelmen: No tank tops, sleeveless shirts, or clothes with inappropriate messages.

Camp is synonymous with swimming fun. Don't forget to bring your bathing suit to enjoy the pool, river, and any water activities.

While we do not have coed (boys and girls together) swimming, it is still required that your bathing suit be appropriate and not too revealing! If we feel that your swimming attire is inappropriate we will ask you to change.

Stay clean and refreshed with towels and washcloths for personal hygiene. Having your own set ensures you're ready for daily adventures. Remember, you will need to use a towel for showers and swim time. Each cabin has a clothes line outside.

Maintain your personal care routine with your preferred toiletries. Don't forget essentials like shampoo, soap, toothpaste, and a toothbrush to keep you feeling fresh throughout your stay.

Campers are not permitted to dye or cut their hair at camp so leave the salon and barber accessories home please.

Capture the magic of your camp experience with a notebook. Use it to jot down memories, thoughts, or reflections, creating a cherished keepsake of your time at TRCC.

Complement your notebook with pens and pencils. They come in handy for taking notes during Bible classes, doodling, or simply recording your camp adventures.

Camp nights can get dark, and a reliable flashlight is your ally for navigating the camp after sunset. Make sure to include spare batteries to keep it powered.

Outdoor adventures often come with curious insects. Stay comfortable during your activities by bringing bug spray to keep insects at bay.

Sometimes it's very HOT at TRCC. Staying hydrated is essential, especially during active days. Bring a reusable water bottle to fill up and sip from throughout the day, ensuring you remain refreshed and energized. There are various locations throughout the campgrounds for you to refill your water throughout the day!

Warmer days are made more comfortable with a small battery powered personal fan. It's a great addition to keep you cool and refreshed when the sun is shining.
